dk if u were able to read it all the way through but he literally returned the affection back several times lmfao. i think the main reason some people don’t like shizume is because he’s a closeted character and may come off as nonchalant. however there r actually people like him irl and a relationship with them can feel the best but frustrating at the same time. as a gay person who has been in love with someone like shizume, i can vouch for that lawl. i think it’s really rare for them to come across someone who will really respect their boundaries, but that’s what makes them love their partner significantly more and cherish them dearly. so i hope this convinced u at least a lil that even if “kiumi” feels alone at times, time spent with shizume overpowers the feeling of loneliness most of the times
