Why exactly did Misora get so freaking upset? Tasuku did literally nothing wrong. Ugh, I really don't like the brattiness Misora has. D:

I'm guessing he was sexually molested by a man.... and that's why he was oversensitive about being considered gay or being touched by gay Tasuku....maybe?

I think it's because he said "you were targeted because you're cute." So Misora probably thought that Tasuku was justifying molesters.

Ohhh, good catch. But the homo accusations and sensitivity have to come from somewhere, I think. He has some sort of issue, maybe trauma.

I mean, he didn't turn around and smack his groper. He took it out on a safe target: tasuku. Why not turn and yell and kick the groper? Why so scared and grabbing onto TAsuki? I think there's something there....

Oh, and just occurred to me: What if his molester (if that happened in his past) kept telling him how CUTE he was...that would be associated with negative, whereas we usually consider that a compliment.

ohh that's plausible. I was just so confused at that part xD It would definitely give reason for the way Misora seems to sensitive to the topic.

I mean, he liked it when Tasu called him cute and he likes being though cute when he dresses in feminine clothing. So, it can't be just the "cute." It could also be he was bullied for being small and cute, and he's sensitive about that being an excuse for mistreatement (as a previous commenter zeroed in on).

We will find out. But I hope he can work through it and be good friends with Tasu. I think they both have suffered.

You're overthinking it way too much. With the way this manga is going, I strongly believe it is not due to a past trauma which is a big trope in yaoi. He was just molested which was very scary and makes a person feel very disgusted and uncomfortable in their own skin. It is a horrible experience. By the time Misora turned around he couldn't tell, in the HUGE crowd, who had touched him. Also, it is very hard to stand up to somebody who has just touched you sexually without your consent, you feel like your body is no longer your own and that they have immense power over you. Misora was so upset because he clearly looks up to Tasuku like somebody that looks out for him and takes care of him, so when Tasuku dismissed him so easily after he was so shocked and hurt already, it was too much to take.

Its one thing to be mad at some gross creep who you don't know, and another to have somebody you admire and are close to hurt you.

Tasuku's comment was victim blaming and dismissive. It made something that was a huge deal to Misora, appear as some small incident and not only that, it made it out to be Misora's fault. Tasuku did not mean to do this to Misora or say something so horrible, but it is a mindset many people live in when it comes to sexual assaults against women. What Misora did was so so wrong, but try to understand how horrible what Tasuku did was even if it was unintentional.

I totally like and can see your analysis of his emotional reaction.

I do not accept Misora's payback to Tasuku as being justified. Misora grew up in the same sexist culture. It's not like he grew up in a test tube. The fact that he reacted violently physically and verbally and said the MOST hurtful ting that could be said to Tasuku is not justified by what Tasuku said, even if it was insensitive and thoughtless . It was not cruel or meant to be, whereas MIsora's WAS cruel and meant to hurt. Big differencde.

If Misora was sexually molested, then the trauma of that kinda mitigates for me what he did. If it's about a thoughtless sexist comment, then no. It does not. It makes Misora a shithead.

I second this comment, Tasuku said a thoughtless thing in a misguided attempt to ease the situation but Misora screaming every profanity that he could come up with at Tasuku was horrible. telling him to go get ...and die was just too much. Especially to someone like Tasuku who hasn't really accepted himself that could be very traumatizing. Tasuku was dumb, Misora was just awful.

honestly if i were Tasuku, i'd avoid him.

I think thats the point. Misora is still really young and at the age where his emotions are fluctuating the most and hardest to control. I remember blowing up a lot like Misora even though I didnt do something like outing somebody. I don't think what Misora did was acceptable but I think it is a realistic reaction. Misora isn't good at communicating his feelings and is still trying to figure them out, a lot of the times when kids are hurt they say the meanest thing they can think of. He was only thinking of his own hurt feelings and wanted to hurt Takusu how he felt Takusu hurt him. I'm not trying to say what Misora was okay, but that his reaction does make sense even for somebody with no past trauma. I feel I have a lot in common with Misora in his temperment and I was really struggling at his age with my own anger issues. I was vindictive and if somebody hurt be badly my first reaction was to fire back, even if what they did wasn't intentional. So...basically, I'm trying to say there is no excuse for what he did and he needs to apologize, but I do think it was a realistic reaction for a person, especially one with Misora's personality. I think they will both grow from this experience though, and make up and hopefully be closer than before. Misora is growing up and part of that needs to be him talking calmly and explaining his emotions instead of getting mad at people for not understanding them right away (very typical for his age group)

I don't think he will avoid Misora because he looks like he really wants to understand what the hell happened. He seems very invested in Misora and helping him so I'm sure they will eventually talk it out. But like I said above, I think what Misora did was super fucked up too and I really want to see him apologize.

That's how I see Tasuku's response. Not, "What's the big deal "girl" deal with it." I see it as trying to say what he think will calm him, since being told he's cute has had a sweet effect on Misora.

And Tasuku is not hating Misora. He's feeling bad, which says something about his character.

As you said: Tasuku was dumb, Misora was awful. Big difference. All along, Misora has shown a pretty unlikable personality. That Tasuku was nice to him even so was pretty cool. And this is how he's repaid. With utter nasty hate speech. Even when I was 10, I knew you didn't talk to people like that--especially in public. Japan being the kind of culture it is, for Misora to let blow like that in public physically and verbally (after so much self-containment), well, it's both sad and infuriating. He's been holding a lot in, Misora has. And so has Tasuku.

But Tasuku was doing a really nice thing FOR MIsora. He didn't go to that festival for himself. He went for MIsora. He went to let him be a pretty girl in public.

I found Misora's behavior the worst. An utter betrayal.

He won't. I don't know if he'll just wait for Misora's move or go see him and try to patch it up, but he's not a grudgy guy and he accepts he is partly at fault.
