i have the same sentiments. like this family literally watched and let the abuse happen and the father and son feel bad about it? nope! no bystander is innocent if they watch the abuse happen! god i hate this kind of family. someone get her out of that household!
All you just said is exactly why i didn't continue reading this cuz even though step mom was wrong the brother and dad are way worse. Im hoping the father would get punishment as well since hes a cheating bystander as for fls mom i think she already paid the proce by having a miserable life. The mother don't have any right use that incident, sience she was the one whom caused it and not the mistress, I read the novel, and in the last ch (83) you can see when the brig bro remember what trully happend.

Yes the mother is clearly the main abuser and villainess, but Camilla’s whole situation wasn’t only created by her. The bystander of a brother and father are also to blame. They are both too soft and enabled the abuse.
The son acts like he’s not guilty of anything. He knows that his mother is doing all this with the excuse that they need to have a second “son” because he is sick. Being a bystander is just as bad as being the bully. He’s recovered from his illness so they don’t need to make Camilla act like a boy anymore.
The father knew he was at fault for cheating and lets the mother do what she wants. He seems to actually care for Camilla unlike other fathers of illegitimate children in other manhwa. But even though he seems to “care” about her and has the power as the head of the family, he never stops the mothers terrible treatment.
It also annoys me because it seems that the mother keeps using the son getting sick in an accident as an excuse her her action. From what I understand the son was playing hide and seek with Camilla’s mother and got trapped outside in the snow. Which caused him to be ill. The mother uses this excuse for hating Camilla, but the son suggests that it actually isn’t Camilla’s mothers fault. SO THEN WHY ARE THEY JUST LETTING HER ABUSE CAMILLA (╬￣皿￣)
Hypocrites, if they truly loved her, the wouldn’t let this happen to her.
It looks like the main lead is about to put them in their place. I hope Camilla gets out of this abusive cycle soon and finds the happiness she’s been struggling for all this time
