It's sometimes always like this honestly they use a secondlead to knock some sense on the "toxic male lead" that he has a competition and that the mc might leave him behind with a new man. They use secondlead as a character development material to the toxic male lead which is so sad tbh

Probably the author never intended to make Cain a deep character... they were just going to use him as a step stone to write Yawhi x Jooin... but they did not expect for Cain's fandom to get so strong. Anyway I like Cain but I also think that Jooin does not deserves this best boy. I think Cain deserves to be happy, but Jooin is not someone that can make him happy. Actually I'm kinda starting to hate Jooin more than I hate yawhi.
