The flower part you are reading wrong. She picked it from the yard or somewhere else and put it in a vase. And yes, she is not a good person for leaving her child all alone and letting him die but also she was 17 when she gave birth and had no family, father left, she had to live with so many different people to survive and most likley had to be a prostitute to get money. That shit hits a person. I am not excusing her but I am not fully blaming her either. Life is very difficult for some people and for her, she was at the end, most likley also suicidal(that's my theory at least). And the son just only thought of her as a kind person coz like he said, he was just a kid and had a lot of fun with mom and always treated him well. And she did not get a happy ending, she still has to live with the guilt of all of it. And had to change her name to get a job coz people will not forgive her(understandably).

Wtf is this lol. After murdering her son by leaving him at home by himself and locking him (probably died of hunger, infection, diseases, and imagine the loneliness and fear he must have felt ALONE in that cramped room), she gets a happy ending where the soul of her son that SHE KILLED is always helping her. TF. And why is she out of prison living her life as a single woman? She deserves to rot in hell.
She could have put him up for adoption. There was a lot of options she could have done for him instead of killing him SLOWLY in the WORST POSSIBLE WAY.
