I agree, honestly Karel knows nothing about Sasya (I think), and fell in love because of his beauty. I think if they took time to bond and truly get to know each other, then Sasy would have loved him back, and Karel would have let him do ballet because he obviously wants him to be happy. But Karel instead assumed he would be happy if they just lived in a fancy house together, which was obviously not true. Sasya should have also told him how he felt and that he wanted to dance, but instead used Karel. And everyone is saying Sasya wanted fame, but in reality just wanted to do the thing that he loved.

True. The scenery when Julian visited them at their house was bone chilling. The contrast of the beautiful place and Karel being so happy with Sasya being so gloomy, depressed and alcoholic. Sasya needed protection but his first barrier was his language. He was making the effort to learn their language, but Karel didn’t even bother to try to meet him in the middle of their difference.
I get it that Karel loved him but Karel wouldn’t even see the reality of Sasya needs to dance. No matter how much love he received, he couldn’t flourish as himself. Karel mainly loved him for his looks because Karel didn’t care much for what were his interest. Karel was only moving on that savior complex mindset and Julian was not really helping.
