This is just sex trafficking.
I also never really understand this concept of taking out huge loans with loan sharks, then kids (particuarly kids underage?) being guarantors. Sure they could physically intimidate a victim/child into paying it back, but how is it remotely enforcable lol. Go to the police. Its just a lame and overdone plot line.

Exactly. The laws are usually very strict when it comes to crimes against minors in every country. Even in some Asian countries which is known to have very lax or corrupted law system, its very strict when it comes to minors and they are still exempted in a lot of legal cases because of their age. You'd think a loan shark would be intelligent enough not to bring minors in his work so as not to attract unwanted attraction from the police or the media.

I hear what you're saying. But I think you're mixing up two different things, there's the age of criminal responsibility and capacity to understand the law, so those under the age of 18 may not get punished or tried as an adult. That's different from crimes against children - which are justifiably punished harshly.

But I guess it's not even that, I'm more referring to the fact teenagers 1) can't be guarantors for loans 2) are unable to sign paperwork that would mean they'd have to pay back a loan. It would just be a void contract. Cause they're always like "look, this is ur fathers siganture right?!" er mate, no.

Even if you inherit a debt (which would be through a bank e.g., like a house mortgage - not some loan shark), you can choose like remove yourself from the inheritance and have any remaining assets go towards the debt.

And if someone if threatening you physically - then that's even more reason to get the police involved. Sorry for the long comment haha.

Bruh, that’s literally what i am saying, albeit in simpler terms. Laws are strict when it comes to minors and there are a lot of things they aren’t allowed to do legally. Not to mention, people get extra sensitive when cases involve a minor so all the more reason to not involve a minor so as not to draw attention from the police or the media.
