I hate to say it but I think this will be one of those manga where when they get together the story will be over or close to it. At most she may give readers a few (1 or 2) chapters with them as a couple here and there but ultimately I think this is going to take the Ao Haru Ride, Strobe Edge, and Last Game route where you wont really get to see them dating, the ups and downs, couple fights, making up, progressing, etc.
I totally understand you, I get the same feeling everytime I see an update '-' I've been reading Skip Beat ever since it was released and I was fascinated with Kyoko as the main character, developing in a fantastic way, her acting skills, how she becomes independent and a strong-willed character... but seriously, cut the crap already -_- simply there is no development between Kyoko and Ren, and the author keeps going round and round with lots of random plots just to work on Kyoko alone (the kind of thing she already worked on beforehand). Now I only see a bunch of random chapters with random acting roles and nothing that's really interesting about the character's life. Even the plot with her mother was unecessarily extended for sooo many chapters with so many meaningless words... *sigh* After 40 volumes, I'd expect Kyoko and Ren do have something more than just chatting with emojis (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
So, I was reading another story from this author and it works kinda the same way skip beat is developing right now, slow paced, characters solve their own internal problems and stuff...
The good thing is, the story doesn't finish right when they get together, there are some chapters that work kinda like the epilogue, I'm hoping Skip beat follows this pattern (since authors tend to kinda repeat some stuff they had already done without realizing it) and, if possible, extends the amount of chapters where we can finally see them together o/
Wellll, considering the fact that this manga is more than 10 years in serialization, so much longer as compared to the mangaka's previous work, i think it will still continue after kyoko and ren becomes a couple. There's still a lot to happen in the future, like kyoko's progress in acting, ren making up with his parents and all, ren revealing that he is corn. I actually like that it is slow-paced because you could really see how their relationship grows in every chapter. I will realllllllllly be disappointed if the author explains such important scenes in a rush just because the fans can't wait for the couple's love story to progress.
yes me too.
pls and pls don't make it a rush and sloppy ending. b'cos first time i read it, i was in high school and i working right now after college. well technically it been years! and i totally enjoy it!
so kind mangaka, ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ make this manga a masterpiece!
I've been feeling so disappointed with this manga lately... Don't get me wrong... I've been a Skip Beat! fan for around 3-4 years now, and the journey has been good, but honestly I'm becoming bored and frustrated with all the talking and lack of action. We've barely seen any development in Ren and Kyoko's relationship, or in Kyoko's acting skills. This manga is dragging and I was expecting better.
