(SPOILER ALERT for those who haven't read up to chapter 87)
Let's not forget about the previous generation of indecent men. In addition to the three weirdos that were madly in love with Helena, there's also the emperor and the marquis. Can we please just take a moment to discuss their bizzare obsession with the women they married? Like, the Marquis was so desperate for love that he could never receive that he went off and did a lot of trashy bs. Then, he was in denial and wouldn't accept the fact that his wife just didn't give a shit about him. He just kept being persistent and obsessing over his spouse who never showed even a sliver of love to him. And then he goes on to do a bunch of unforgivable acts that ruined the lives of countless. The emperor isn't much different. The emperor is so disgustingly blinded by his obsession for his wife, that he could effortlessly kill his OWN SON who was falsely accused of being a traitor and not feel an inch of guilt even after finding out that his son had been framed. YET when his wife commits a heinous crime worthy of drast punishment, he tries to cover it up and frame someone else for her crime. And when the empress comes to despise her husband who murdered her beloved son, the emperor doesn't care as long as the empress remains in his clutches. That's only one of many sickening examples of the emperor's actions he has taken for the sake of his callous obsession. It's almost as if these men don't see the women they obsess over as humans! They don't consider how the women feels or how they might be affected by their ruthless deeds. They don't care about anything as long as the women can be in their possession.
Anankin is the only decent male character in this story ;_;. All the female characters need freedom from the terrible men in their lives that try to constrain them!
With all that in mind, I think that at least Eris should get her happy ending. And it would be great of Helena could achieve whatever she strives for(that is if she ever comes back to life). If not, then she should at least be happy in her next life!
Did the dragon that fulfilled Eris's wish purposefully have another soul enter Eris's body or was it just random chance MC became Eris? Because wanting to disappear is a bit vague, why did MC's soul have to replace hers? Also about the law of causality is weird that it only works for some events in the story because the Holy Priest became obsessed with the FL instead of loving Helena.
It makes me realise all of Helena's potential leads are complete trash. Crown prince rapist + horrible person, holy priest incest freak, dragon slayer creep, omf Helena get out of there
