I thought it was only me who think that way to jacob and also thinking of what if the king give him some attention or just talk to him even a little cuz it's not his fault to be born as a son of the greedy second wife.His also just a kid back then who knows nothing and just wanting some affection, looking for someone to love him but instead what he get was nothing but being cast aside to his own family and also the country which he thought would accept him
and was all alone in those horrible time.
yess i agree though nothing excuses what he did i feel like he only ever wanted affection from someone because he didn’t get any from his father or siblings
first of all, this manwha sparked my love for reading again. I LOVE THE WORLD BUILDING, THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, AND THE CHEMISTRY OF ALL THE CHARACTERS
however, here are some of my thoughts:
- i feel like the part where she was anointed as the saintess was a bit lacking? i was so hyped for when the holy knights arrived, but it felt so short. for some reason, i do want to see or know more of what happened between her and the church. it's an amazing touch that she's a saintess, which proves that her dreams or "past memories" are just premonitions. i hope she meets the church soon because there's so many details left untouched. i do understand that thr author can cover all of it, but i wished they kind of payed more attention to her capabilities

nothing can justify all of jacob crimes, and i do not excuse him for it. he's a very vile and insidious person. he's obsessive and crazy BUY am i the only one feeling pity for him?
i don't pity him because he got rejected, but all of his behavior stems out of how he was treated in the castle... even when he was a kid and his mom was still alive, it was clear as day that he was NEGLECTED. all he wanted was a family, all he wanted was to be acknowledged. his own mom even committed unwlice and asked if he wanted to join her. he suffered a very unfortunate back story, which is the reason why he acted like that. he just wanted love, he just wanted someone the be his. he just wanted to be seen. and he felt that only through Bianca. she was the only one to look at him in his eyes. no one ever did, and with that he felt like it was the very moment he wanted to have someone to call his own. of course im not excusing any of his behavior and actions, i just find him extremly pitiful. i hope he will find his peace now.
