I’m guessing this is his POV and he went back to the past because Bertha died in the future where she was with Blaine (creator basically giving us two endings cuz we love both of the boys <3)
From that point on it is fan service for people who thought that Prince Van and Ver will be the end game. An alternate future if the two of them got together.
