Yes it does have incest-like implications bc in the novel, it was revealed that the brother was a creep towards ruby in an incest way (shes never reciprocated anything of that sort btw its just him and his dumb ass). It’ll be revealed more clearly in the later chapters (I dont want to go in detail in case someone wont like detailed spoilers from the novel!)
