THEY AREN'T. They have different personalities and experiences. Ian gaining Brian's memories won’t change that. And it’s fucked up that he is used as a replacement of Brian. Brian is already dead and it should stay that way.

ian is brian and brian is ian. theyre the same person whatever it is. it's what reincarnation about, only the memory is left since it's been so long until he's being reincarnated like 1k years. reincarnation is supposed to change the personality too because personality is affected by environment, family, and so on. though the soul still remains the same i mean the soul is still brian. so ian is brian, and brian is ian. periodht.
