Koreans generally aim for flawless skin + (if not genetic) another way to get freckles is by being in the sun for too long
I think people who have freckles in historical manhwas would usually be commoners who work outside like farmers, gardeners, etc so it's an undesirable feature for nobles
I'm really noticing most of the time that freckles are meant to say ugly or just not good with manhwas and why is that?! I'm feeling a bit uncomfortable with antagonists/extras mostly having freckles and the story meaning to say they are not good looking...
