To be honest, I would actually love for comments to be turned off again. It makes life easier if you don't have to listen to trolls and straight up cave-monkeys. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Also, these people don't care about reading this for free and their opinion being irrelevant to the author. They are like Karens thinking their entitlement is a godgiven right and others must bow and listen.

But I personally go to the comments to see what other people think and what they might have noticed that i missed in the new chapter. Predictions, etc.. It's just obnoxious if you see 2 dudes flooding the first 5 pages of comments just to drown out any normal people in the comments section because these literal monkeys got tired of shouting into the void on Twatter and didn't make it as a toxic Reddit mod. :P

It would be nice if the admins allowed for blocked people to not appear in the comments section tho. Comments and topics. That way the flooding could be dealt with via the block option.
Not sure if MangaGo has a way to suggest anything to admins tho. (But the comments are still mildly broken so I doubt they'd insert a new feature.)

Sweet hypocrite, you're the problem you describe. You've been replying to Jinx comments for the past three pages aka 4 hours. You've been on Mangago since 2015, this is how it is and how it'll always be, you should know better.

XD It's not hypocritical since my topics aren't flooding (which I was talking about, only with me flooding would it be hypocritical in nature), as is the case with the other guys leaving comments just to guilttrip people who read this.
I reply to comments and topics, yes, because I want to talk and interact with people. But unlike the monkeys I don't copy paste one sentence in various varieties, even in unrelated topics to my matter.
And btw, MangaGo comments sections have NOT been like this since 2015 btw. Only when a hoard of uncivilized monkeys appeared and thought they could flood a comments section to make it theirs (for whatever reason, I still don't understand the logic behind it). :P

I'm really not sure which comments sections you frequent but this is DEFINITELY not the norm, mind you. Usually people don't flood just to drown out comments of people that have a different opinion. They leave one comment and discuss their dislike there. Tho I guess it depends on the comic itself, this kinda thing might be more common for specific genres I guess or works which get more attention perhaps (some are easier to hate than others, that's for sure).
Don't get me wrong, I don't want them gone either. It just seems the more...pleasant version of the website, you could say. XD I also love going to the comments after a new chapter and watch people have a giggle at stupid characters or imagine how a jerk gets sweet payback send their way. But mostly looking for stuff I might have not noticed or sharing funny frames on pages. That's always been fun~.

Okay, good. I see where you're coming from and I'm glad we're reaching a consensus going back to my original point which is let's not lose comments again. Tbh you weren't really my target audience with my OG comment, I was hoping to bait certain users into conversation because I think they're funny to argue against. What I meant with "this is the norm" was just that if there's anything controversial at all at any point in time in a story, some silly goose has gotta argue and sometimes it turns into a POTN or Killing Stalking kinda discussion. I've read a manga that was really sweet and cute to read, but then BAM in the comments was a full on war about the main character having dreadlocks.

So far I've only ever encountered this flooding bs once. I didn't read POTN and i think I dropped killing Stalking because it's not my thing (maybe it was another story tho). So I don't know how much feces-flinging is going on over there per usual. :v
Pfft, the dreadlocks bullshit still bothers me. I really hate all this 'only one race is allowed to do this/have this!' crap. Same with the crap I encountered once of people hating and threatening an author for depicting tribes people in a story with ritual masks they used to ward off evil and them wanting to educate themselves and become more modern so their tribe doesn't die out. It was such a wholesome and sweet and well-thought out story, then BAM, a bombardment of comments about how the author is racist...for giving the tribe things that tribes in real life use/do. I legit had to double take at every dumb comment. And there were SO many of them. (⊙v⊙ )
I still wonder if they do this shit just to rile themselves up by annyoing others or if they seriously think it's THAT important. Both are worrisome tbh. (〜￣△￣)〜

I just wish we could talk normally with people again. Be it interactions or arguements.
It's fun sharing with people and discussing stuff. But it's annoying as it is now because you legit cannot get a conversation going with broken replies and the fact your topic immediately vanishes in the flood-comments. You have to be lucky someone rakes through the bs and finds you. And people usually don't even click on the 2nd page of comments, so... XD

I comment a lot on things like this but my comments arent always an attack, mingwa definetly isnt a bad author but i dont think this story was very good. BJ alex had better smut but to each their own. I dont care if someone reads this but i do care when we cant acknowledge this for what it is rape smut. You're very aggressive and sometimes that's good, sometimes bad, I just hope you understand that there are people behind the comments and many of them are too young to really have a proper view on rape, abuse, etc. And Jinx, POTN, other "interesting" manhwa should be used as a learning tool to show what NOT to do, which is along the lines of what you've been saying all this time, but I think there's better ways to go about it.
