I thought the portrayal of inferiority complex in the same work place in the arts was done well. Because let's be honest it happens all the time to people. And it's hard to move on from.
Banana Fish, Nana, Revolutionary Girl Utena are also Shojo, btw. Shojo can have some of the most well written and complex works out there. You don't have to degrade Shojo to defend your mid ass BL with a toxic main character.
Bruh the plot is so good tho
In a relationship, it's not all sparkly and small misunderstanding. The story shows us what may really happen between couples in the same field. This kind of conflict is more realistic and you know that it can't be solve in just saying sorry.
We all know that he is toxic but in reality there are people who are like him right? It's very relatable that's why I like the story more.
Go read shoujo if you're not yet ready for this kind of plot.
