The protagonist didn't earn his success

Normally I really enjoy protagonists who are bastards so his actual personality doesn't bother me but the trick to writing these characters is that it has to feel like they genuinely deserve what they gain. The only thing it feels like he actually earned is his job (which he didn't even want) and in every other scenario he just gets lucky. I get that's kinda the premise but it means that the character doesn't really have any redeemable qualities and it's hard for the reader to not hate him. For a similar comic with a jerkish protagonist that handles this better I recommend "Worn and torn newbie".

Understandable, but I heavily disagree that the premise wasn't handled better here. This webtoon is comical (and nonsensical) so having the random factor of the MC stumbling his way to success through sheer luck is a plus. Plus, he is extremely witty so it adds up that things do work in his favor because he's slimy and silver-tongued (this gets more emphasis later on). His personality may seem off-putting from time to time but honestly, it had its charming moments throughout the series — and from personal experience, it's gotten a bit hilarious actually. Dare I say, there are rare moments where he mellows out to his fellow trio mates. ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
