All the mangaka’s works are visually stunning and an absolute unique feast for the eyes, but this one really just took everything to another level. It’s such a quietly beautiful story, I’m such a sucker for historical and stories of healing. The complexity of both characters was refreshing, their relationship was one that gave me the warm fuzzies. They both desperately needed someone who loved them; Yuki needed someone who loved him as he was and as he could be, Matsu needed someone who he could care for with the resources he had. I’m glad they found each other. Truly a beautiful story.
