No, he agreed to the Crown Prince's offer because he also thought that our princess should be eliminated because she could bring harm to his precious friend, Herrace. This one's a fact. Idk which chapter but it was shown how he warned Herrace that Litia could be dangerous.
He merely observed her if she is worth the kill. It's like shooting 2 birds in one stone. That's just my opinion tho.

ALWAYS DANIEL This is because Daniel is as real as a person can ever be. The gray haired dude just took pity on our princess, I mean he literally hated her initially just hecause of some rumors. However, our boy Daniel here was sincere from the start, he did not judge her for her oast, he just observes her as she currently are and then make a conclusion from that.
Herrace is a masochist, so nah.
Black haired dude just wants to use the princess, but eventually feels guilty that is why he is so attached to her.
All the other male leads except Daniel doesn't have the will to truly love the princess without mixed feelings of guilt and pity.
