Reread it babe and i can’t remember it perfectly but she either died while giving birth or her body was weakened even more after giving birth and she died. She was the MC/marquises closest friend, other things that happened in the chapter is that the MC might be catching feels for the male lead/it’s been 100+ chapters and we can finally set our ship a sail. Also the MC‘s closest friend was a lot of peoples favorite character
Im not sure if I can read it again. I mean I've read and watched a lot of dramas where the concubines would also get preg and stuff but Idk why I feel so sad about this.. Like I stopped reading this because I read some spoilers and I just read the recent chapter because I was really curious.. Idk why my heart is like this TT
Huh?? i think ur misunderstanding something hun let me explain, the MC is a knight who is actually a good representation of someone manly and was extremely mistreated by everyone in her life except for her trainer, and then her country goes to war and her comrades treat her like shit but eventually on deaths door she switches sides and and wins their trust and wins the war for them, she continues to work for the second guy to give her a chance in life the male lead/the second guy who gave her a chance falls for her and we do not have any verification if it’s mutual until this chapter, (like seriously none, nada, zero) and the woman who just passed was one of the Royal concubines for the male MC, i’m not sure if he got her pregnant or she was already before I can’t remember. But honestly this is in my top 3 for being pretty realistic, this book hits home, it doesn’t dodge basically anything and it has no annoying back-and-forth relationships because r MC is not a dumbass, she goes really high for a realistic personality too. I am the type to hate stupid characters unless they r plot relief or funny or our fanbases adorable bratty children btw. {This is my explanation} anyways I’m going to re-read this now for fun and to remember more stuff
Oh no I'm not misunderstanding anything. I remember the story quite well. Although, I'm not sure if he really slept with the concubines, either ways it's his responsibility because he has taken them in and for the sake of the empire's peace. I was personally just really disappointed that he really did choose this path. And when I saw that he was even happy when he heard that one of his concubines was pregnant, unfortunately it was false news, I kind of felt betrayed lmao. Anyways these were just my personal feelings and has nothing to do with paul
Wait I stopped reading thiss a year ago and based from the comments someone is giving birth? Did the emperor really have children with his concubines? I know its normal since he is the emperor but it feels like my whole world just collapsed
