It does happen eventually. Although it should be noted that that wasn't the only reason ML fell unconscious. There was some political stuff going on behind the scenes that MC was intentionally kept unaware of due to some other factors. I'm keeping details out for spoiler purposes, and only exposing this since many others have lots of misunderstandings about ML and his previous actions. But I doubt ML would have ever thought MC was going to kamakazi himself for ML. I definitely think that's one of the reasons ML has nightmares and can't sleep properly in this lifetime. Definitely an intercultural relationship between the two. Cultural misunderstandings and behind the scenes politics led to tragedy in the first life.
