honestly this is one of the few age gap bls where i feel like the age gap is really explored and not just thrown in for the forbidden appeal~ .. like specifically w ahjussi .. he’s not just the strong and silent seme type, his maturity and experience is really apparent. like how euijoon thought that this was just a fwb situation but ahjussi is someone in his (?? i forget exactly) late thirties.. if he’s going to enter a relationship it’s a serious endeavour not the kind of flings more common in your early twenties. and when he figured out his feelings, he communicated it straightforwardly. no room for misunderstandings; but he also is aware of how euijoon is in a different stage of life from him + euijoon still struggling with unresolved feelings, so he doesn’t confess with the intention of getting an answer. he just wants euijoon to know that the option is there, should he want it. so like half of the annoying bl tropes (having a crush but never saying shit, miscommunication, missing your chance w someone, leaving a relationship ambiguous etc) never have a chance to manifest… ahhh i’m so satisfied so far.. i hope euijoon learns to actually ask instead of just overthinking… and that he learns that just telling him the truth instead of what he thinks ahjussi would want to hear (like what happened w his forehead) is always better
