Maybe you should broaden your scope, because I have a lot of gay friends and they said they don't mind being called wife even if they don't think themselves as feminine. I've also asked them if it was okay for their boyfriends to call them wife and they specifically said that they really don't mind and would be fine with it. I myself am a bisexual and honestly would not mind if my girlfriend called me husband, my ex girlfriend would occasionally call me husband or hubby when she's teasing me so it's not like it doesn't happen... And besides, some people do think like that, they don't want to be together just because they think they don't want to ruin other people's happiness.
i can see how it can relate to other people. but when i read queer stories, i read queer stories i don't read heterosexuality pushed on 2 men. it personally makes me feel very unseen when the basis of the whole story and it's substance is heteronormativity in itself. cause the only reason why neither of them confess is because of their lower than the ground self esteem and them assuming what's the other person's happiness and that happiness being a hetero relationship

If they like to call other wife or husband then just let them be, there are other stories that don't call their partner by a feminine endearment, but this one just happened to be one. I don't understand what you mean by that.
I feel offended as a person who used to be called by a masculine endearment, you mean to say we're normalizing heteronormativity, but then what's wrong with being hetero, it's jot wrong being homo then why is being straight wrong.
it's not wrong to be straight. it's about pushing a homosexual relationship to have a man and woman role. why can't they both just be men in peace and not have to fulfill some hetero role despite being in a gay relationship. why can't they just be two husbands or lovers or boyfriends, why do so many god damn bl manga contain phrases like "but i'm a guy" "you'll find a cute girlfriend someday" "you're just confused" "i can have sex if it's with you, eventho you're a man" "it's not that i like men, i only like you" . that's just homophobia. it's like gay people can't exist and the mere thought of being emotionally or physically attracted to someone of the same sex is repulsive, exept if it's only that one person. believe it or nor, but bl mangas are filled with internalized homophobia and a lot of bl mangas make that the sole plot of the manga
i've rarely seen a bl that was so obviously written ny someone who's not queer. this story was awful from start to finish. nobody, and i mean no ody would like to be called a wife when they don't consider themselves fem. these sort of bl who push heteronormativity as the sole plot of the story are just awful. for real, i finished reading it only because it was so short, but it was truly a waste of time and it angered me from start to finish. i've never seen 2 individuals so selfish and convincing themselves they were doing this for others. i'm sick and tired of this "but i could never be with you because i am a man and you deserve happiness and obviously you'll never be happy with me so i'm making myself miserable" trope. can you make it more obvious that you use queer relationships as entertainment? for fuck sake
