Nah not kidnap her. Ripley fell from the balcony from the Duke's own residence and that's when he saved her. The prince does however attempt to force himself on her.

Zeronis was declared dead (he wasnt) and everything went downhill at that point. Part of the prince’s scheme since he wants Ripley to the point he’s willing to kidnap her in the future but Zeronis returned and saved Ripley again (iirc)
