Yes brown haired uke knew him before but never made a move, but with Yoon out of the picture he seized the opportunity to try to become someone he could rely on and maybe make him fall in love with Yoon missing/presumed dead. They were friends at first and then ex-seme got drunk, brown haired uke slept with him, ex-seme thought he assaulted him, and here we are today It was explained/alluded to at some point.
