Sorry if I am coming to conclusions, but it's quite sure that the emperor loved yeodam, even in their preview life. But, because Jin's dk how to express themselves like humans do, it caused all those misunderstandings that lead to yeodam's death in early chapters
YES I WAS THINKING THAT TOO! It’s sad that because of the differences they couldn’t come to a understanding, but now things are going so smoothly.
And we all have Yeodam to thank, if he didn't teach the emperor about humans, he would be living the same way as his "past" life

Honestly I am so happy for yeodam because he deserves happiness. It’s crazy because in my head, I’m coming to the conclusion that the emperor always loved him, but because he was so ruthless and such an asshole who didn’t want to understand humans and be a generally good person he was twisted in many ways. Thus causing hurt to yeodam. I mean he was the human who saved him after all.
But now that yeodam taught him the important things and life lessons he will never forget, he is now a decent person with morals. Ofc if something happened to yeodam he would burn the world to a crisp, but we all know that yeodam is super powerful.
Hat I am wondering is if they will show yeodam’s powers eventually.
