Great story but

I feel like he never tried looking at things from her point of view. She always hung out with the Nakamura's because she felt neglected, but he saw that as her rejecting him. So they spent years in a big misunderstanding. I think the father should have tried harder, but I also understand that it must have been very difficult after being married to and then betrayed by that awful woman.
