Don’t get me wrong. Authors can do whatever they want with their works, but the reason Yoshida-sensei gave us as to why she killed Ash seemed problematic to me. Just because someone is a criminal doesn’t mean that they need to die. That's the exact same mindset that makes it impossible for former convicts to get a job and live a normal life. That really ticked me off.
But on the otherside, I heard it was actually an editorial meddling that caused Yoshida to kill Ash, because having Ash alive would mean having a gay couple canon. That's pretty fucked up.
