It's just a personal taste I think... Like it's a overused plot: they met when they were children and didn't know but still fell in love...

I understand both sides. I think it’s cute too, but I agree it is used a lot and seeing it in a story that didn’t originally have it can be a little sad.
idk why people are complaining about having them meet as kids. even if it wasn’t in the novel, I think it’s hella cute
