Honestly since he’s in high school it makes me automatically think he’s 18, but there’s a possibility that he’s 16 or 17 but I kinda doubt that

A 2 week placement isn't very long so maybe he's only a first or second year in uni so like 19-21yr old and they talked about the friend becoming captain next year so the students aren't in 3rd/last year of school but I'm guessing they are 2nd years so like 17 yr old so a gap of anywhere between 2yrs and 5yrs at most like you said but I'm thinking closer to 2 or 3yrs
how old was hyori supposed to be? it doesn't seem like the age gap is a lot so i'm not really uncomfortable with this compared to other mangas like there could be a 5 year gap at most so idk it's still super cute
