It's still f#cked up as hell xD There is not much to understand besides that Prince needs some proper therapy and have to learn how to communicate with someone he claim he wants around. So far it doesn't look much like a true love but just an obsession xD and obsession is a big no no. I know it is popular to romanticize toxic relationship in literature and don't get me wrong, I'm not judging, I, myself, am still reading this and other mangas like that, but it is important to recognize toxic patterns of behavior and not try to excuse them in characters we simply like. In addition, he’s the freaking prince of a country. He let a serial killer ran rampant just so he could spend time with his crush. It’s highly unprofessional and downright inhumane.

Moreover, he doesn’t care if Louis abort the baby (even if it was his) as long as Louis doesn’t run away from him to another country/state. All that matters to him is Louis to stay by his side EVEN IF LOUIS DOESN’T WANT THAT.

Maetel, as a character, is lucky that he’s the main lead and that Louis loves him back. He’s not really that different from Rafael if you think about it. He’s just one snapped thread of reason away from hurting Louis too. I mean, he already raped him.

This^^^ and in an earlier chapter he threatened Louis and his family...Louis couldn't tell if he was joking. It was back when he was forced to eat and sleep naked at the palace.

Just like Rafael. I agree, they are sides of a psycho coin. Rafael kills, Maetel lets them die. Rafael confesses, Maetel plays mind games. Maettel is a coward that rapes and imprisons the person he claims to love. Rafael just wants a corpse pillow. It's also interesting how they see Louis. Rafael sees him as pure--which he was until the date rape drug, whereas Maettel thought, and STILL thinks he was a whore.
