Actually they were engaged at 12&15. They were officially married after erden came back 7 years later. So basically, they were adults when they got officially married. 18 (Letitia) turned 19 at the last chapter and 22 (Erden).

Most countries are angaged and married at a young age. I know it was weird if it happened irl (though in several countries there exist people who married young) but you should know that this is, first and foremost, are just a story.
If it happened too often around you irl, we have every right to be angry bc yes, they are HUMAN.
But this is just fictions.
It's actually not that weird since it is in medieval setting but in this modern world there are still people who get engaged as young age whether it is because of a promise or a business arrangements or just a health issues.
