I didn't see that here but HONESTLY i had my suspicions that 704 was the exact human from the get go lmao
and that the devil guy brought them together just to torture the hell out of geumsan, like “hey remember that human you love? He’s here now as a reaper and if he remembers anything about his human identity he’ll be sent to suffer in the furthest depths of hell :) and im gonna make sure he sees u a lot :) have fun :)”

Yaaaaasss! I've been thinking that for a while, now! 704 must be the human Geumsun loved, and keeps thinking of. Yama is a manipulative guy, so it's entirely possible Yama's screwing with them both by keeping them close. Any thoughts on what 704 may have done to end up a reaper? Idk.
Yeah, this is the reason their relationship is so fucked up. I'm not defending Geusum, but he sure tried to be affectionate back when they started and 704 pushed him away. It must've been hard and confusing for him, until they got used to a twisted relationship and kept it going. We dont't know yet what he had to endure, if he saw 704 die, if Hwan had anything to do with that, if the scar means something...But Yama sure tricked him
I hadn't even thought of Hwan. But if Hwan had done it, then 704's soul would still be part of Hwan. I think that's how it works until Hwan is destroyed.
Didnt the author imply that 704 IS the human that geumsan used to love/ knew him before he died? And he’s just so angry with the fact that 704 is a reaper and is just taking it out on him (bc 704 can’t remember their memories together too)? Esp because he’s worried that 704 will vanish when he grows more human emotions so geumsan acts extremely hot and cold.
