I dont understandddd!!! I keep rereading and I still don't get it. And I dont even know what I don't get.
People are all em0tional in the comments and I dont know what happendddd.
I read ch 6 somewhere AND I CRIED AND IDK WHY.
I don't see what is wrong with their relationship!! They pseudo like each other but both have twisted forms of "loving" right?
They are wholesome and I thought Yakumo liked him and then in ch 6 it wasnt like that. And wth os the deal with that artist?! Do they have another story?!
Nevertheless, I FEEL THIS IS A GOOD STORY. I just dont understand

I read 6 on MRM. There's a good comment there from Novaember I'll copy-paste here but IT"'S NOT FROM ME.

I really really love how well Hiro (the uke) is written as a neurodivergent person in this manga. Its sweet and refreshing, even the "masking" he does, and the peak underneath always showing how actually overwhelmed he is, and how its difficult for him to grasp the concept of emotions and hoe to properly express them. At first his declaration that Yakumo is the only one for him sounds like he's just saying that since everyone else abandoned him. Yakumo is all Hiro has left, when actually, the whole time, the conception of in love and not in love with hiro is incomprehensible to him, because since always Yakumo has been the only one for him. His feelings are the same as they've always been, he just hadn't realized always been the only one for him, even before all the others.

also I love Yakumo's good guy dilemma of oh no I did this because it has a positive benefit to me so OBVIOUSLY I am taking advantage of the other person.

    To add on about Yakumo:
Remember when he was being angry at Iku-san for taking advantage of a shut-in who didn't know anything about the world? He realized he was doing the same thing to Hiro-kun. He thought that having an autistic friend would make him feel needed all the time (so he can have a reason to continue living). Mito's painting probably made him realize what he was feeling was loneliness (a desire to be with Hiro-kun). Not the emptiness he's been feeling all his life.

There's nothing twisted about either of their love. That's why you can't find anything wrong with their relationship. Even Yakumo's dilemma is borne out of this need to be good for someone.

I forgot to add because this is such a deep story. I believe Yakumo keeps having this surprised pikachu face whenever Hiro-kun does something is probably because he keeps realizing Hiro-kun isn't a useless person who needs his help. That's why it's such a good portrayal. He's just a person who needs to put more effort on some areas where he has difficulties with.

OMGGGGGG NOW EVERYTHING MAKES SENSE. Wow. Such a big brain intelligent persoooon. Hiro being neurodivergent and Yakumo blaming himself does explain a lot of their "internal conflicts". So that is why he called Hiro "his oddball friend". You are right, I think they just have to reflect about themselves since their relationship is ok. They are just pure babies.
Tysm, I had a bunch of ideas going on and now I can finally organize them.
