Yuri is well aware of lesters feelings and pretends not to know
but lester knows all of that and he still loves her still cause of the faint hope he has
plus their relationship is more close to that of siblings than lovers
First time I didn’t have second lead syndrome. He had many chances to be together with her and knows yuri is a girl. He is basically setting himself up to failure because he’s not doing anything to pursue her.
