Yes, I bet it is, but that's not modesty. That's just basic thoughtfulness and consideration for others. I misunderstood and thought I missed some part of the story that was a little more ... exciting (in an immodest way.) ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

I was wondering about that too, but I think it's supposed to be a joke relating to the shy and kind of awkward relationship between the lead characters and maybe (hopefully) a hint that it's going to become less modest in the next season? xD
