Some children do really have a possessive instinct for their parents. Like when I was a child, I don't really like anyone touching or going near my mom especially other kids in my age or younger. I became bad ass bitch kid when others call my mom as their mom. Lol my mom is kinda have a soft spot and so kind to all children so they really like her XD
Kinda unrelated but our dog is the same. He is obsessed with mum. He’s like her shadow. Me and him have a rivalry, he bit me and I needed stitches in my arm so we’re frenemies of sorts. When she hugs me he tries to pry himself in between us and he is by no means a little dog. She can’t go anywhere without him two steps behind. Mamas boy (￢_￢)
