These type of stories either go like the MC has to inherit and the ML becomes his righthand or the ML will takeover and MC will live a normal life while they keep on their romantic relationship. I'm leaning towards the latter this time.

Ooo i see i see. Mc doesnt look like he's interested in one bit bout the gangster stuff but his life is on the line now so i'm kinda curious if he decided to follow his father step

I don't think so. From when he was little, he was never interested in gang stuff but seeing that he now has a right hand man from his father, he might. But there's honestly a slight chance about it because the MC does not like violence nor the title of a "gangster's son."

Rather than saying he is not interested, I'd say he is kinda traumatized by the shadow it casted on his teenage years. He wanted to run away at all costs, he worked 2-3 jobs, studied well to get in a good but far away uni just to avoid getting mixed up. So unless something drastic happens that either gets him cornered or he gains enough self confidence to shut up anyone talking smack about him, he won't take an initiative to inherit the group. Besides he has a very bad relationship with his father so I doubt he'd want to follow in his father's footsteps.
