He's not the ML in the sense that the original novel didn't have an ML. It wasn't even a romance novel to begin with. There have been a LOT of hints that they're changing the plot of the manhwa to make it more romance-based (judging by how they're handling the knight and how obvious his attraction to her is), so he MIGHT be the new ML but at this point nobody actually knows.
He can't really be a 2ML if there's no ML to begin with, haha.
