I personally find the female characters to be too cliche and Hero worshipping the ml.

I do find some female characters to be cliche-ish but the author seems to be using them as trope subversions rather than setting them up to be brainless harem members. Like there's actually character development or depth to them. As for the hero worship part, it's not exactly limited to the female characters so idk where you got that part from. I do think it's more prominent with the one female character that has a crush on him, but it's obvious that that's not going anywhere. Especially since it looks like the author is setting up another romance for her that's not with the main character.

Fair, I did stop reading it pretty soon. But I don't think I'll be giving it another chance... The passage of time didn't make sense to me. Like it's been a couple of months since the zombies broke out, but how did a bunch of high schoolers survive when there aren't resources at the school?

Also how the council was all men.

It's been a while since I read that part but I believe they said that the high schoolers survived because of the teachers taking care of them at first, then the military that eventually found them. So it's not like they were ever in charge/making decisions for their survival. I doubt they ever even left the school in the first place. The council being all men was for 2 reasons:

    1. The majority of survivors are men. Currently the highest ranked female survivors of that group are Sherry who is capable but not really the leader type (she could maybe lead a handful of survivors on a mission but not really a whole camp/logistical effort), and I forget her name but she's a cook who is in charge of meals at the grocery mall area where their food supply is kept.

    2. All men on that council were already leaders of their own individual camps. Like the doctor of the hospital, the highest ranked officer of the soliders, the head of the food supply at the mall, etc. There are women but they aren't leaders of their respective camps or they are only leaders of search teams, not technically part of those camps but report directly to Yohan.
