Obviously the duke? Remember the first few chapter where the mc was able to hear the sword or whatever when the duke was sleeping under a tree. It makes sense now since the person above me explained it

So I read the novel idk how long ago and I can’t remember much because it’s been a hot minute but I think the mom gave up her life for her daughter which is the mc and the dad used his sword to turn back time or whatever to save haylin? Heilin?…MC …and that’s why he can’t hear the sword anymore but she can. Uhhhh I think he found out about her when it was too late or smth? So ya he turned back time
