If I’m not mistaken, I think he broke up with his gf just to try to end up with Haru. And then provoked Soudai for no reason. I think he might have actually not like Soudai and those emotions tied into his feelings for the Haru. It was a bit sus to me that he could move on so quick from his gf to Haru. He was much nicer to him but not sure if he would truly be better since soudai and Haru have history. Painful history but Iwata seem more in lust and starstruck than in love.
