Ummm... I am not sure... you are about this one but for abandoned empress... he is also redeemable... because he was poisened... slowly... and also the Duke Zena took advantage of his complex about his mother and his father's lack of love. This is why he was the way he was.

Agreed, both of them are definitely not the ideal partner. Too much wounds that the FLs are not responsible for healing. And it doesn’t reverse the bad doings that they’ve both committed.
i actually hated this ml but im having second thoughts.
i despised him and when the first time the trauma was mentioned i was like boo hoo
now, i do feel really bad and the mistress have manipulated him with his trauma, i can empathize with him more
and seeing the sisters relationship with him is great too! a girl inlove turning into jealousy and rage and then regretting

at first i loved the concept of her turning into a knight , the god giving her own oracle (and as far as my memory serve that oracle is a piece of shit. she just got a middle name and nothing else, it didnt gain her power nor popularity. ive hope it would be a secret weapon or some shit but no) and then jeun was summoned back to the world and lo and behold she have her memories too that moment was so groundbreaking for me as i really want to read what kind of battle of cunning and wits will the 2 lady have

Everything is fine in that webtoon other than fl ending up with the guy who raped and killed her for no good reason
This guy was forced to killed his birth mother. He fell in love with the girl who was the only support he had in the childhood. He tried to protect her in the future but ended up committing mistake and being her puppet. While the ml from abandoned empress did much terrible things, raping was end game for me. All what he did to her when fl was pregnant made me cry.
I do understand where you are coming from. And personally I wanted the FL to live on her own... but you really underestimating the power of a drug, especially, a hellucinogen.... he was on the verge of losing his mind... and he did.... a person who in his teens works like mad to get the state tasks done would be mad enough to throw his empire away for which he has worked so hard for? And the drugs cause an imbalance in brains and make the people vulnerable to manipulation... this is why. If we see both of these, they are trash. And personally I am not in favor of any. I just wanted to share my opinion on the ML of abadoned empress as well.
I understand he had it tough. It would have been fine if he ended up as a friend of fl. But i really don’t understand the happily ever after of fl with someone who tortured her that much. Fl should have chosen some other guy (preferably red head) while still being friends of ml.
