You can't consent when you're drunk and only one of them was actually drunk. Blondie took advantage of him entirely.

But they still friends? They still have dinner and drink together? Even they work at the same place, the MC should avoid him tho...if it was rape..

Both rape victim and attempt-rape victim will never act that close with the perpetrator.

Well it is my 10th years reading BL.. But what's that have to do with this case? Or are you saying that a LGBT-rape victim will act differently with a straight-rape victim?

You do know this is based entirely if the author chooses to portray an actual portrayal of rape and it's aftermath right? Being lgbt is besides the point but does create the ability for mainly straight cisgender women to remove themselves from the violence they consume as entertainment. If the author and subsequently their readers enjoy consuming romanticized rape without the realities of it then of course that would be the body of work that will be enjoyed. If youve read BL enough as you've said you'd know the predominant narrative is the point I just made above and hence why for the most part you'll see a reaction to rape and coercion displayed as we see it as the default and even encourage dispiction of the sexual violence shown in this genre and it's subgenres. BL does not equal sexual violence but its has become synonymous with the act.

I think we shouldn't over-analyse this cuz I don't think the author meant to draw that as rape. I feel that it was just supposed to be drunk sex, both were drunk at that time not just the uke. I think the uke also said that it was his drunken mistake nd not that he didn't know what was happening. You won't call every drunk sex rape would you? Nd the mangaka has established the fact that the uke is a pretty sexual person so yeah I think he wanted to have sex that time. It's entirely upto you how you interpret that situation tho but I don't think the author meant it that way. You can call blondie a bit manipulative, that I would agree with but I didn't feel that that was rape because the uke was very much aware of what was happening even tho he was calling kase's name, he knew who he was having sex with. But if you felt that it was rape then that's your opinion, completely fine.

These were my thoughts so that's why I didn't wanna reply to blueninja89's first comment because I didn't want it to turn into an argument or something
