Well, because the sacrifice was necessary. The church didn’t do anything out of malice, it was purely under the notion of sacrificing one to save the many. Her father had her as a daughter strictly for the purpose of sacrificing her in the future. I love that she’s rational about that.
As for Demi-god, it’s less about trusting him and more about counting on him. If she starts counting on him, then she’ll grow attached to him. Nut then hr’ll go back to his Demi-god world once he’s purified the world and… what? That’s just more pain she’d rather avoid.

Yeah you're right but I guess what frustrates me the most is the lack of communication especially from her side. She assumes thing without asking while she knows that she could ask him anything because he would never lie to her. That's why I said she put her trust on the wrong person, I understand that she's still scared of him but idk it's just my pov but if I were to choose compared to what I've been through I would chose the words of the god/demi-god over the others.

You might be right and again that's understandable with her trauma and all but if she wants to be cautious she should do it with everyone (like i wouldn't trust the church so easily you know?) that seems a little bit unfair for the demi-god but once again I get where she's coming from. I guess we'll see later how she will overcome all of that!
So she doesn't trust a God who helped her and never lied to her but she trusts the church and the priest who were part of the sacrifice and did nothing to stop the father??? I-
