I think it was bins best friend, the vampires. It's that white haired vampire (that always gave him blood packets) and his wife (the one that kidnapped hwa for a day as a kid) they both wanted "die" tho cause they miss their son

Oh, that man was Bin’s brother, they’re not really dead though since they are vampire they are “locked” away in some sort of jewelries and Bin’s father is condicting a research on how to convert them. I was talking about Jinsu! Gok’s university friend, his death was only mentioned in the afterword

The author said that it was supposed to be Gok’s first “test/challenge” after being a vampire and immortal, I think they like to show how Gok would handle grief and death of those closest to him because he won’t be anle to die anymore. The author also said that they wanted to include it in the story but they worry it would be too long because the 2nd season was focused on their child Lee Hwa sp they ended up dropping the idea
