I think Yeo-dam is still traumatised after enduring years of abuse at the hands of the emperor in another "timeline". Remember, that version of the emperor repeatedly raped him, broke his ankles and it's implied he caused the death of his father and best friend. I think Yeo-dam is still suffering hardcore PTSD.
I agree with you, i mean, i prolly wont be able to look at someone who raped and abused me. Uke also thought that the 8 years wasn't with the Seme but rather,,, with the kid. He spent 8 yrs with the kid he loves but then transforms into someone who abused him for 10 yrs (ノ｀Д´)ノ彡┻━┻
It also bothers me a bit that he doesn't realize that through his actions the emperor changed BUT as the other comment states, he has pretty hardcore PTSD and in this case it makes absolute sense he isn't able to communicate his feeling because he is still connecting his trauma with him

I would like to be on the mcs side because hes traumatized and stuff but hes too paranoid. The ml is an absolute yandere which i love smh and cares about the mc but he kinda was the asshole villain and the mc saw all of em...so...idk anymore..
