That is messed up. How was she supposed to know? Everyone's been nice. But she was suspicious. But she really was hoping to trust them and I don't blame her, they seemed really sincere. I mean if you're smashing the husband, and you're treating The villains son like the precious cinnamon roll and he acts like the precious cinnamon roll. You're going to believe you made a difference. She's a teacher. Come on now. You know that teachers always think the best of their students. They make a career out of that delusion.
What do you mean??? She's in a novel, that she's already read??? She knows that the house of chade are the main villains of the story! How is she not gonna know! Maybe she's forgotten along the way, but she damn well knew they were villains, she's just been diluting herself
