I side with the first character, in the beginning, because honestly he's just broken. He saved the world and then ended up being betrayed by the world. His whole family died and then he lived in poverty. oh and I just wanna say this but the couple that died had me SOBBING. They deserved better they aren't villains just broken hero's. And who exactly made them this way? The people and basically the WORLD did!!
