As far as it goes, i like novel better. Art is good, but i guess they decided to shorten it by erasing a few moments that will create a few storylines later.

The story was great itself without changes (⊙…⊙ ) Wasn't Magnus a man, businessman who wanted to make a business with her but she refused? And Charlotte wasn't on this party and didn't have a clue that Ariel made this perfume especially for her. She just liked it very much and used it all the time and lilac became trendy.
And in the novel Ariel created a new scent for this party - pine scent, so not only women, but men too wanted it.
